BourTech provides affordable digital and print solutions for small and medium sized businesses in the hospitality and wellness sectors.
BourTech was founded by Damian Croker. A keen runner (London Marathon, Great North Run), occasional steep hill climber (Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa, Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis), martial artist and Tai Chi Practitioner. Damian also happens to be able to design nice websites and logos.
The other area important to Damian is our planet. He is a keen supporter of the UN Sustainability Development Goals. To that end BourTech takes into account the sustainability goals of our technology partners during the selection process.
Websites developed by BourTech are hosted in a UK datacentre powered by renewable energy. The datacentre operator maintains an e-waste program focused on hardware reuse and responsible disposal.
The software we use to design logos and social media assets is from a company that has sustainability at their heart. Their premises use renewable energy, source food from farms using regenerative agriculture methods, and operate an e-waste initiative.
Our printing partner uses 100% FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified paper, indicating the forests are managed with attention to biodiversity, benefits to local communities and workers, as well as economic viability. FSC-certified forests adhere to environmental, social, and economic guidelines.
Damian is a Fellow of the Better Climate Governance Campaign. Former member of the Society for Computers and Law Sustainability and ESG Committee and former member of the Mediators Beyond Borders International Climate Change Project Team. Former Chair Campaign for Greener Arbitrations Latin America Committee. UK representative of Partners in Action for Sustainable Development (An NGO in Malawi). He speaks regularly on sustainability issues and has featured in numerous publications.
